Dennisha's Village was inspired by Electa's own struggles with teenage pregnancy. Electa is dedicated to providing hope for teenage mothers and their children. Electa completed her degree in Human Service, and Business Mgmt. She has been featured in several news paper articles, and magazines, she also received a Human rights award, and was honored as the community hero for her works through Dennisha's Village. Electa is now married with 5 beautiful children. On her down time she really enjoys nature and visiting the ocean.
Executive Director (Battle Creek Site)
Denisha Reed is the executive director of Dennisha's Village BC. She accepted the role in 2008, and has been dedicated and passionate about helping others. Denisha battled her own struggles in her teenage years and became a teen parent at the age of 16. Despite her struggles Denisha never gave up. She now has her Master's Degree in Social Work. Denisha has obtained several other degrees along her journey, and has also served 7 years as an employee for Calhoun County 10th district court. Denisha is married with 5 beautiful children, and she really spending time with family and traveling with her husband.
